Multi-Environmental Genetic Analysis of Grain Size Traits Based on Chromosome Segment Substitution Line in Rice (Oryza sativa L.)

چکیده

Grain size traits are critical agronomic which directly determine grain yield, but the genetic bases of these still not well understood. In this study, a total 154 chromosome segment substitution lines (CSSLs) population derived from cross between japonica variety Koshihikari and an indica Nona Bokra was used to investigate length (GL), width (GW), length-width ratio (LWR), perimeter (GP), area (GA), thousand weight (TGW) under four environments. QTL mapping analysis six performed by IciMapping 4.2 with inclusive composite interval (ICIM) model. A 64 QTLs were identified for traits, mapped chromosomes 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12 accounted 1.6%–27.1% phenotypic variations. Among QTLs, thirty-six loci novel seven One locus containing known gene, qGL3/GL3.1/OsPPKL1, also have been found. Moreover, five pairs digenic epistatic interactions except GL GP. These findings will facilitate fine candidate gene pyramiding genetically improve yield in rice.

QTL mapping of grain length in rice (Oryza sativa L.) using chromosome segment substitution lines.

Chromosome segment substitution (CSS) lines have the potential for use in QTL fine mapping and map-based cloning. The standard t-test used in the idealized case that each CSS line has a single segment from the donor parent is not suitable for non-idealized CSS lines carrying several substituted segments from the donor parent. In this study, we present a likelihood ratio test based on stepwise r...

Genetic variation and association analysis of some important traits related to grain in rice (Oryza sativa L.) germplasm

The identification of genomic loci involved in control of quantitative traits receives growing attention in plant molecular breeding. The present study was carried out to evaluate the genetic variability among 48 rice genotypes and determine the genomic regions associated with ten grain related important traits. A total number of 63 alleles were detected by 18 selected SSR markers from differen...

Genetic polymorphism in rice (Oryza sativa L.) through RAPD analysis

Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD) assay was performed to estimate genetic polymorphism in six different rice (Oryza sativa L.) cultivars viz. Basmati 370, DM 25, IRATOM 24, Binadhan 6, TNDB 100 and Y 1281. Three out of the 15 decamer random primers showed amplification of genomic DNA in 24 individuals. The primers produced a total of 26 bands of which 14 were polymorphic. Proportion of po...

GENETIC DIVERSITY ANALYSIS IN RICE (Oryza sativa L

The experiment was conducted under the agro-ecological zone of Modhupur Tract (AEZ-28) to determine the genetic diversity among 39 rice genotypes, collected from Bangladesh Rice Research Institute, Lal Teer Seed Ltd. and Chittagong Hill Tracts. The genotypes were grouped into six clusters based on Mahalanobis’s D 2 statistics and Canonical Variate Analysis. Cluster I consisted with the highest ...

Evaluation of Qualitative Traits of Grain in Rice Promising Lines (Oryza Sativa L.)

The development and production of genotypes with high quality is one of the important purposes in the plant breeding programs. In order to evaluate the qualitative traits, 77 lines of rice (F12 generation) in comparison to five control cultivars (including TaromMahalli, Sang-e-Tarom, NokSeyah, Fajr and Deilamani) were studied in the Biotechnology Laboratory of Sari Agricultural Sciences and N...
